Oceanside Harbor Days September 27th & 28th

On September 27-28, 2014 the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce along with USAA and Genentech will present Oceanside Harbor Days at the Oceanside Harbor. The event will feature arts and craft exhibits, great food and fun activities for the entire family. The event is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Two event filled days of sun, sand, and surf provide an outstanding opportunity for residents and neighbors to experience fun activities including the new Sandcastle competition, Entertainment Stage, Arts, Crafts and Food booth areas, Nail 'n' Sail Competition, Military, Public Safety displays, and more.

Harbor Days is free to the public and is hosted by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and Oceanside Harbor District and presented by USAA and Genentech.

Free Family Art Day At Oceanside Pier And Sand Art Contest August 31st

Show off your creative side and have fun in the sun with Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) at the Oceanside Pier on August 31, 2014 from 9am to 1pm for a Free Family Art Day and a Sand Art Contest!

This two-part event not only provides the public with a day of creative competition in nature for a modest registration fee, but also FREE and easy sand art projects for the public.

Free Family Art for everyone at the Pavilions south of the Pier. Kids and families will learn about endangered ocean animals while making art!

Sand Art Contest registration is open through the day of the event. Early registration is recommended. Participation for the contest is limited to 50 four-person teams on a first-come first-serve basis. Entry fee is $25 per team through August 10 (includes 1 free t-shirt for team captain plus purchase of additional t-shirts for $5). After August 10th entry fee is $35 per team. $100 to the winning team!

Free Movies at The Oceanside Pier

The City of Oceanside presents FREE Movies at the Pier! The movies will be held at the Junior Seau Pier Amphitheater located south of the Beach Recreation Center and Oceanside Pier. Movie begins at dusk, come early to set up your own “Movie Theater.” Bring your blankets and picnic dinners and spend your evening with family and friends under the night sky. 

Step Into Liquid - Saturday, July 12th - Come and see this documentary about surfing directed by Dana Brown, son of famous surfer and filmmaker Bruce Brown. The film includes surfing footage from the famous Pipeline, the beaches of Vietnam, and some of the world's largest waves, at Cortes travel.
The Lego Movie - Saturday, August 30th - Come and see this 2014 computer animated adventure comedy film based mainly on the Lego line of construction toys.  The film tells the story of an ordinary Lego mini figure named Emmet prophesied to save the Lego universe from the tyrannical Lord Business, who plans to use the kragle to glue everything in place.

The Goonies - Saturday, October 11th - Come and see this 1985 American adventure-comedy about a band of pre-teens who live in the Goon Docks neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, attempting to save their homes from demolition, and in doing so, discover an old Spanish map that leads them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willie, a legendary 17th century pirate.

This is a FREE, family friendly event. Free parking is located at the lots off Mission Ave., across from Harney Sushi & Dairy Queen.

City of Oceanside Fireworks Show

On July 3rd, 2014 the City of Oceanside will be putting on a fantastic fireworks show for all to enjoy! The fireworks will be shot off just north of the El Corazon Senior Center, located at 3302 Senior Center Drive.

Please note that Rancho del Oro will be closed just north of Oceanside Blvd at Seagate and just south of Mesa Drive at Ocean Ranch Boulevard. Limited parking will be available in the Ocean Ranch Business Park and no parking will be available at the El Corazon Senior Center.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive anytime after 6:00 pm, park in the near by lots. Be sure to bring a beach chair, and walk to the viewing area on Rancho Del Oro road. Food trucks will be parked on Rancho Del Oro and will be selling wide variety of foods.

Prior to the fireworks show,  El Camino High School and Oceanside High School bands will perform at 8pm.

This event is free and open to the public.

Oceanside 2014 Summer Concert Series

The sweet sounds of summer will be evident soon when Oceanside's popular summer concert series begins.

Friday Nights in the Park Summer Concert Series will be held the third Friday of each month in June, July and August from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. In June and July the concert will be held at Rancho Del Oro Park located at 4701 Mesa Drive. In August, the concert will have a new location at Mance Buchanon Park, located at 425 College Boulevard. Arrive early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment that begins at 5:00 pm.

Friday June 20th - The Mar Dels, a popular dance band

Friday July 18th - David Lally & Patric Petrice, a popular Irish band

Friday August 15th - Box Canyon Band, Acoustic Bluegrass Music

Sunday Concerts at Heritage Park begins on July 6th. Concerts will be held each Sunday at Heritage Park, located at 220 Peyri Road (behind Mission San Luis Rey) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Every week will feature a different music style.
